One of my first memories every was of seeing the Carousel of Progress (CoP).  Ever since then, it has been a favorite of mine.  For years there have been rumors of major changes, and some pretty limited alterations to the last act to keep the show entertaining to park goers.  I think after more than 50 years, its time to come up with a new vision of the CoP that looks forward, while still honoring the history of the show.

Pre Show

Picture
The current Pre-Show is just and austrian drape with some
lighting and a voice over.  It really isn't very Tomorrowland.

The new Entrance/Pre-show would pay homage to the previous version of the CoP and its history; from Walt's idea of Edison Square, to the World's Fair, then Disneyland and Disney World.

Circular LED screens would show a montage of images from the developement and history of the show.
The stage floor and ceiling would be mirrored to create a kind of infitity box.
Some of the screens would move up and down slowly (like a carousel horse).
The background would have sequencing colored lights reminiscent of the original roof of the CoP World's Fair building, and creating a circular movement (like a carousel).

The house section of the theater
would have more CoP and
Tomorrowland themeing reflected
in the lighting fixtures, upholstery,
wall and floor materials.
